The name of the river that used to run by Pisa--the AUSER RIVER. 1064 was the year that people started talking about installing the Bell Tower--which the Leaning Tower of Pisa is--the Bell Tower or Campanile. I believe that construction of this tower did not really begin until the 1100s.
