Rosies P.O.V I was eating ice cream on the couch watching spongebob when my cell rang. When i saw it was nick i side and let it ring. A few minutes later it was nick again and i let it ring yet again. Then when he called me again i grabbed my iphone and saw a text from him. TEXT:"it's important!=(" I dialed his number and he picked up on the very first ring. "Hey." He sniffled. I shot up so fast that my ice cream fell onto the floor. My mom's gonna kill me. but thats not important. "Are you ok!?"I asked worriedly. "I'm coming over." He said and then hung up. I was pacing back and forth when nick came through the door. He walked over sadly and sat down on the couch. "What happened?!" I asked sitting down next to me. He looked up at me with his big. brown watery eyes."Joe left." "What?!" "Joe came home and kevin knew that he drank. Joe slept with carlei, and when kevin found out he started packing Joes stuff. I begged him not to leave but he did. And now i'm living with a moron!" He said, while tears slipped from his eyes. I pulled him into a tight hug and kissed him. "He's gonna come back." I promised. He shook his head. "No, kevin won't let him." He sniffed. I didn't know what to say. He pulled away and looked at me. :What are we gonna do?" "Where exactly is he going to live?" "With my mom and dad." He asnwered sadly. "What's so bad about your parents?" He drew in a breath of air, i could see that he was carefully chosing his words. "My parents...my dad especially, are not nice people." "How?" I asked leaning forward. I wiped away the tears so he would continue. "I'll start out with my dad. The worst of both. He...he.." "He what?" "He was an alcholic. He never would beat us but if we did something wrong he would have a big temper and take of his belt, ready to wack us. We were oe of the lucky kids with a dad that drank, he never laid a finger on us. Joe would always get into trouble though. So i was the one who tried staying out of his way. As soon as kevin thought he was old enough he was out." "So is that why Joe drinks?" "Yea. And my mom was never there. She was so wrapped up with her job that she never cared. That's why kevin took us." "And kevin's gonna send him back to your alcholic dad!?" He nodded and began to cry again. I gathered him into another hug. "We're gonna find a way to get him back." "Is it ok if i stay here for a while? Like live here?" He pulled him back but with my hands rested on his shoulders. "Of course." I said kissing him. He looked at the t.v and let out a low laugh. "You still watch spongebob?" I laughed and picked up the ice cream carton. "Yea, and i still eat ice cream while watching it. Want some?" He took it and the spoon. He laid back on the couch and montioned for me to lay next to him. I took in the smell that lingered from his clothes. I knew that this would be the first of many moments that i would share with him.
