This is pretty much a surefire way to fix the mail app on your Jailbroken iPod touch. If you are experiencing problems like the Mail app crashing when trying to open it, or if it is just not working correctly, I can almost guarantee this will fix it. In this video I explain three methods to fix this problem: 1. The first methods being the easiest way (using WinSCP) *This should be the default method of choice* 2. The second method should be used if you encountered a problem when trying method one. 3. The third method allows you to do this entire process on the iPod/iPhone *without a computer*!! Requirements: -Jailbroken 1.1.3 (or other) iPod Touch or iPhone -OpenSSH and BSD subsystem on iPod/iPhone -Program to access iPod (WinSCP) on PC (if using method 1 or 2) DOWNLOADS WinSCP: http://winscp.net/eng/download.php#download2 CuteFTP: http://www.cuteftp.com/downloads/ Putty: http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/latest/x86/putty.exe PUTTY COMMAND (Copy and Paste): rm -fR /private/var/mobile/Library/Mail ALTHOUGH I say that is for a 1.1.3 iPod, I am sure it'll work the same way on the latest firmware, 1.1.4 and later, if you are experiencing problems with the mail app. Just follow the same method. PLEASE BE AWARE that this erases the email accounts on your iPod touch. However, all you will have to do is just reenter your information after you follow my video. It will download the mail again and you will be good to go. I have seen numerous other videos on how to fix this problem, but they don't really seem to do the job. This fix however has worked every time for me. Let me know if you have any questions at all. ---------------- TEXT INSTRUCTIONS (for method one): SSH into your iPod (using WinSCP, CuteFTP, or a similar program). Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library and delete the entire folder called "Mail" without the quotes. Now, startup your mail app, you'll have to reenter your mail settings, but the app will work fine. ----------------- If that doesn't work, message me and I will try to help you.
